MHPSS Consultant (National) – Psychological Services

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Tunis is seeking a National MHPSS Consultant to provide psychological assessment and support within the Migration Health Division. Working under the Migration Health Officer, the consultant will deliver trauma-informed, culturally sensitive services to beneficiaries receiving Medical Direct Assistance.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct psychological and psychosocial assessments of beneficiaries and identify mental health and functional needs.
• Provide individual counselling, brief evidence-based interventions, psycho-education and coping strategies.
• Coordinate referrals to public, private or specialized mental health services and ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions, document consultations confidentially and report safeguarding concerns.

Required profile

• University degree in Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Counselling Psychology or related field, with professional registration to practice in Tunisia.
• Minimum two years of experience delivering psychological assessment and counselling, preferably to vulnerable populations.
