Software Engineer – FPGA Verification

About the role

Siemens Digital Industries Software is seeking a motivated Software Engineer to join its Hardware‑Assisted Verification division. You will work within a high‑performing FPGA‑based prototyping R&D team, developing and debugging software for the Veloce proFPGA prototyping platform.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers in designing, developing, modifying, and implementing software for internal and external products.
• Ensure functional quality of released products across all required platforms.
• Develop low‑level validation software for FPGA components.
• Integrate system components in close coordination with the software team.
• Work under close supervision while applying basic engineering skills.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with C++, algorithms, and object‑oriented development.
• Proficiency in digital design using VHDL, Verilog, and SystemVerilog.
• Hands‑on experience with FPGA design, Vivado or Quartus, and static timing analysis.
• Strong debugging skills in RTL design and simulation.
• Familiarity with Linux and scripting languages such as TCL, Bash, and Python.
• Experience with version‑control systems (Git, Perforce, SVN).
• Fluent English communication skills.
