Senior Software Engineer

About the role

The Senior Full‑Stack Software Engineer will work closely with Business Analysts, Product Owners, QA and Support teams to design, develop and modernise our customer‑facing applications. You will be part of a globally distributed Agile Scrum team, contributing to both client‑side and server‑side features while mentoring junior developers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new features across the client, server and cloud layers of the application stack.
• Integrate third‑party libraries and services into existing solutions.
• Investigate and resolve customer‑reported issues, security vulnerabilities and performance improvements.
• Participate in all Agile ceremonies: backlog grooming, sprint planning, daily stand‑ups and retrospectives.
• Produce UML diagrams (class, sequence, flow, activity) to support design discussions.
• Collaborate with architects and principal engineers on feature design and future technology direction.
• Write unit and integration tests using JUnit, Jest, Selenium and Cucumber.
• Mentor less experienced developers through code reviews and technical guidance.

Required profile

• Strong Java development experience (Java 8, J2EE) with deep language knowledge.
• Proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks/libraries, jQuery, HTML and CSS.
• Hands‑on experience with the Spring ecosystem.
• Solid understanding of OOP principles, UML and design patterns.
• Experience working in Agile (preferably Scrum) environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Self‑starter attitude with a passion for continuous learning.
