Public Area Attendant – Lobby

About the role

The Public Area Attendant – Lobby ensures that all public and employee spaces within the hotel are clean, safe, and welcoming for guests and staff. This full‑time, onsite position is essential to maintaining Marriott’s high standards of hospitality.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize public and employee restrooms, showers, glass surfaces, and floor areas using designated chemicals and equipment.
• Dust surfaces, empty trash containers, ashtrays, and ash urns, and dispose of waste properly.
• Inspect furniture for damage, report any issues, and maintain lighting fixtures.
• Post caution signs when needed and coordinate urgent repairs with other departments.
• Respond promptly to guest and department requests, reporting preventative maintenance concerns.
• Follow all safety, security, and company policies, including proper handling of flammable materials.

Required profile

• Ability to lift and move objects up to 55 lb unaided and heavier items with assistance.
• Capability to push/pull equipment on uneven surfaces and work on ladders.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, kneel, or sit for extended periods throughout a shift.
• Clear communication skills and professional appearance.
• No specific education or prior experience required.
