Project Manager – Automotive Safety Projects

About the role

Autoliv is seeking a Project Manager to lead vehicle safety projects such as seatbelts, airbags, and steering wheels. The role involves full lifecycle ownership, from initiation to delivery, ensuring compliance with Autoliv processes and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Overall accountability for the project from start to finish, including schedule creation, progress monitoring, and milestone achievement.
• Apply Autoliv processes and standards, report status to Review Boards, and manage change boards when required.
• Identify, monitor, and mitigate project risks; escalate major deviations according to the escalation model.
• Drive quality improvements, cost reduction, and time efficiencies while maintaining customer communication and satisfaction.
• Manage allocated resources, organize project meetings, and control project budget and product cost.

Required profile

• Strong English communication and listening skills; basic presentation abilities.
• Team player with a good internal and external (customer) network.
• Self‑driven, autonomous, and experienced in prioritisation.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally and support colleagues as needed.
• German and/or French language skills are a plus.

Required skills

• Project execution experience, preferably with the Volkswagen Group.
• Proficiency in project scheduling, risk management, and budget control.
