Plant Quality Manager

About the role

Autoliv develops seatbelts, airbags and steering wheels and aims to increase vehicle safety. As Plant Quality Manager you will develop and lead the plant quality strategy, ensure compliance with customer, industry and company standards, oversee all quality functions, lead customer and internal escalations, build a strong quality culture and drive continuous improvement across the manufacturing site.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the plant quality organization, including Supplier Quality, Production Quality, Customer Quality, Quality Systems, Audits, COP and Project Quality teams.
• Drive a quality culture focused on zero-defect production and delivery.
• Ensure compliance with customer requirements, IATF standards, internal audits, process controls, PPAP activities and traceability systems.
• Manage quality performance through KPIs, corrective actions, problem-solving and continuous improvement programs.
• Lead customer escalations, crisis management, task forces and root-cause investigations.
• Partner with plant leadership to set and maintain quality standards and operational excellence.
• Support supplier quality development and quality processes across the supply chain.
• Develop talent, build high-performing teams and coach future quality leaders.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum 10 years of manufacturing experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in a quality function.
• Minimum 3 years of people leadership experience.
• Proven experience in a manufacturing environment facing operational and quality challenges.
• Strong background managing customer complaints, escalations, crisis situations and cross-functional task forces.
• Proven success in building and leading quality teams.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.

Required skills

• Solid knowledge of IATF 16949 and automotive quality systems.
• Experience with PPAP and quality audits.
