Production Team Leader

About the role

The Production Team Leader oversees store operations, ensuring that inventory is accurately received, stored, and dispatched to support seamless production flow. This role combines leadership, safety compliance, and logistical coordination to meet on‑time delivery commitments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the stores team, fostering cross‑training and availability across key areas.
• Collaborate with Operational Leaders and the SIOP team to launch jobs on schedule.
• Kit projects with the right materials at the right time and move components through production to achieve 100% on‑time delivery.
• Attend daily shop‑floor meetings to stay informed on delivery schedules and customer commitments.
• Record inbound and outbound goods using the Syteline 10 system, verify deliveries for damage and quantity, and organise storage locations.
• Prepare materials for collection or delivery according to internal schedules and assist with periodic stock checks.
• Maintain a clean, safe stores and yard area, adhering to health‑and‑safety policies.
• Log and report any scrap received, ensure safe loading/unloading of vehicles, and manage import/export paperwork.
• Book transport, oversee waste‑recycling skips, develop KPI reports, and participate in Kaizen initiatives.

Required profile

• Previous experience working in a stores or warehouse environment.
• Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of developing teams.
• Good knowledge of health‑and‑safety regulations and waste‑recycling practices.
• Computer literate with experience using stock management systems.
• Excellent communication skills across all business levels.
• Methodical, organised and able to work independently.
