Production Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations in an automotive environment. The role ensures production targets are met while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet schedules and customer requirements.
• Lead, motivate, and develop production operators and team leaders.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental (HSE) policies.
• Monitor performance using KPIs such as productivity, quality, downtime and scrap.
• Investigate issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, Logistics, Engineering and Planning to minimise disruptions.
• Manage shift handovers and maintain accurate production records and reports.
• Support Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Maintain proper staffing levels and allocate resources effectively.
• Conduct training, performance evaluations, coaching and disciplinary actions.
• Monitor inventory of raw materials and work‑in‑progress to ensure uninterrupted production.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in automotive manufacturing, including supervisory experience.
• Strong understanding of automotive production processes, assembly operations and manufacturing systems.
