Night Auditor – Hotel Finance & Guest Services

About the role

The Night Auditor ensures the accuracy of financial records and delivers exceptional guest service during overnight hours at a Marriott hotel. This full‑time position combines accounting duties with front‑desk responsibilities to maintain smooth operations throughout the night.

Key responsibilities

• Check figures, postings, and documents for accuracy.
• Record, store, access, and analyze computerized financial information.
• Control and secure cash and cash equivalents according to cash‑handling policies.
• Organize, secure, and maintain files and records in line with retention and confidentiality policies.
• Prepare, maintain, and distribute statistical, financial, accounting, auditing, or payroll reports.
• Audit and reconcile all revenue postings.
• Follow all safety, security, and company policies; report accidents or unsafe conditions.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests, anticipate service needs, and assist individuals with disabilities.
• Communicate clearly with guests and staff, answer telephone calls professionally.
• Develop positive working relationships and support team goals.
• Lift, move, or carry objects weighing up to 10 lb without assistance.
• Perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No prior related work experience required.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to follow company policies, maintain confidentiality, and present a professional appearance.
• Physical ability to lift and move items up to 10 lb.
