NDT / FPI Inspector

About the role

Pursuit Aerospace is seeking a qualified FPI (Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection) Inspector to join its Orillia‑based manufacturing facility. The role focuses on performing non‑destructive testing of aerospace components to ensure structural integrity and compliance with stringent quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform Fluorescent Penetrant Inspections (Method D, Form a) according to NADCAP and customer specifications.
• Review engineering drawings, inspection standards, and part documentation.
• Execute pre‑cleaning, penetrant application, dwell time, emulsification, and development processes.
• Visually inspect components under UV light to detect discontinuities, cracks, or other defects.
• Record inspection results accurately and maintain traceability documentation.
• Maintain a daily FPI log and ensure equipment calibration and maintenance.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for non‑conforming parts.
• Communicate findings with production, engineering, and quality teams.
• Uphold 5S and Lean practices to keep the inspection area organized and clean.
• Participate in internal and external audits as required.
