MEAL Assistant – Data Collection (Part‑Time)

About the role

The MEAL Assistant – Data Collection will support the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) team in gathering, cleaning and reporting data for humanitarian programmes. This part‑time position involves conducting phone‑based surveys, updating data tools and contributing to analysis of youth employability and startup performance.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct data collection via phone calls and upload results to the project’s information management platforms.
• Update and maintain data collection tools, trackers and dashboards, correcting any inaccuracies.
• Assist with preliminary data analysis, identifying results, impact, success factors and gaps.
• Prepare summaries, charts and tables for internal reports and presentations.
• Ensure confidentiality, informed consent and respectful treatment of beneficiaries during interviews.
• Participate in learning loops and support project learning events.

Required profile

• Experience working with non‑governmental organisations.
• Undergraduate degree in development studies, international relations, economics, social sciences or a related field.
• Fluency in written and spoken French and Arabic.
• Self‑motivated, organized and able to manage time and personal work plans.
• Commitment to humanitarian principles and values.

Required skills

• Familiarity with digital data collection platforms, preferably KoboToolbox.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
