Maintenance Engineer – Thermal Comfort Systems

About the role

Lear is launching its second plant in Bizerte, Tunisia, dedicated to Thermal Comfort Systems (TCS). The Maintenance Engineer will ensure that all machinery, equipment and facilities operate smoothly by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting faults and supporting continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine, scheduled and preventive maintenance on machinery, electrical systems and plant equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, troubleshoot breakdowns and carry out repairs or part replacements to minimise downtime.
• Develop and implement maintenance plans and strategies to ensure optimal equipment performance and reliability.
• Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities, inspections and repairs.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and promote a safe working environment.

Required profile

• Technical background in mechanical or electrical maintenance, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑moving plant environment.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
