Maintenance Engineer – Automotive Production

About the role

Autoliv is looking for a Maintenance Engineer to support its automotive safety production lines. You will be responsible for ensuring equipment reliability, driving continuous improvement, and supporting new installations in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and optimise preventive and predictive maintenance plans.
• Analyse downtime and performance data to improve equipment availability and OEE.
• Coordinate corrective maintenance activities and fast issue resolution.
• Manage spare‑parts inventory and ensure efficient resource utilisation.
• Monitor and improve maintenance KPIs such as Availability, OEE, MTBF, MTTR and PM compliance.
• Support Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives and lead root‑cause investigations (8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa).
• Lead continuous‑improvement projects to increase OEE and reduce downtime and costs.
• Assist with equipment installation, commissioning, transfers and industrialisation.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Engineering and EHS teams.
• Manage CAPEX maintenance investment projects, prepare technical specifications and coordinate suppliers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering, Electromechanics, Mechatronics or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in automation or machine building within a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive.
• Strong knowledge of Siemens PLC technologies and TPM methodologies.
• Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken.

• Siemens PLC programming and troubleshooting.
• TPM and preventive/predictive maintenance expertise.
• Root‑cause analysis techniques (8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa).
• Key performance indicators: OEE, MTBF, MTTR, PM compliance.
• CAPEX project management.
