Launch Engineer – Trim (Automotive)

About the role

Lear Corporation is seeking a Launch Engineer for its Trim plant in Menzel Bourguiba, Tunisia. The role will lead new program introductions from planning through execution, ensuring seamless coordination across cross‑functional teams and meeting quality, cost, and delivery targets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain program/project schedules, including macro and micro activities.
• Configure and manage the LPMP system for all new program launches.
• Collaborate with SSD/CFD teams, TRIM engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and meet deadlines.
• Track RFQs and ECNs in the PLM system and generate ECRs for launch changes.
• Organize meetings, provide progress updates to management, and support pre‑production activities.
• Ensure delivery of pre‑series tools and materials, and develop ramp‑up, ramp‑down, and end‑of‑life plans.
• Manage project budget, analyze cash impact, and monitor KPI compliance (cost, deadlines, quality).
• Support certification activities (IATF/VDA) across all functions.

Required profile

• Engineering degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in the automotive industry in a similar launch role.
• Strong organizational and project‑tracking abilities.
• Proven experience working in cross‑functional, matrix environments.
• Good communication skills in both French and English.
