Functional QA Engineer

About the role

As a Functional QA Engineer at Infor, you will lead the design and execution of quality assurance activities for enterprise and cloud‑based solutions. Working closely with product managers, business analysts, developers and architects, you will ensure that the delivered software meets business goals and customer expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive comprehensive functional test strategies and test plans aligned with product requirements and priorities.
• Collaborate with product owners and development teams to guarantee test coverage for user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Create, review and maintain functional and user‑acceptance test cases.
• Track testing progress, quality metrics and defect status in Jira, communicating updates to stakeholders.
• Promote QA best practices and continuously improve testing processes.
• Mentor junior QA members in functional testing techniques and defect management.
• Coordinate cross‑team testing activities to ensure end‑to‑end system quality.
• Act as a liaison between product, QA and engineering to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
• Maintain QA documentation such as test plans, coverage reports and process improvements.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading QA strategy and functional testing in Agile environments.
• Strong collaboration skills with product owners, business analysts, developers and QA teams.
• Solid background in test planning, test case design and defect tracking.
• Excellent communication abilities and comfort working with diverse stakeholders.
• Familiarity with QA management tools such as Jira and Zephyr.
