Electrical Engineer - PCB and ATE

About the role

FEINMETALL develops spring contact probes and wafer probe cards for testing electrical and electronic components, with locations across Europe, Asia and America. This role starts with learning PCB specification and technical support for semiconductor test hardware, then moves toward automating recurring tasks and developing skills in electrical design for automated test equipment (ATE).

Key responsibilities

• Learn to specify multilayer PCBs and adapt electrical requirements and existing circuits to customer needs.
• Support sales and Product Engineers with technical inquiries, feasibility checks and product selection.
• Investigate PCB quality issues and coordinate technical requirements with customers, designers and suppliers.
• Identify workflow improvements and develop scripts, templates or small automation tools.
• Gradually contribute to ATE interface design, including schematics, component selection, pin assignments, PCB layout requirements and electrical testing.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering, electronics or a related field; recent graduates and early-career engineers are welcome.
• Structured, analytical approach, curiosity, initiative and clear communication skills.
• Fluent English; German is an advantage.

Required skills

• Good fundamentals in analog and digital electronics, with an interest in circuit design and PCB technology.
• An interest in automation; basic programming skills such as Python are an advantage.
• Basic familiarity with PCB design tools or laboratory measurements is helpful; previous ATE experience is welcome but not required.
