About the role

International Schooling is seeking a passionate and versatile Electives Teacher to join its global online academic team. The role involves delivering a wide range of elective subjects to students from kindergarten through grade 12 in a fully virtual classroom.

Key responsibilities

• Teach elective subjects such as Intensive Reading, Digital Information Technology, Foundations of Programming, Cybersecurity Essentials, Artificial Intelligence, Art History, Agricultural Communications, Law Studies, Psychology, Allied Health Assisting, Criminal Justice Operations, Entrepreneurship, Journalism, Hospitality and Tourism, Business Management, Data Analytics, Machine Learning, Leadership Skills, and more.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe virtual classroom environment.
• Assess student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback.
• Encourage creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and curiosity.
• Maintain effective communication with parents, students, and school staff.
• Deliver lessons in line with the school curriculum and lesson plans.
• Utilize digital teaching tools and online learning platforms effectively.
• Support student success through active engagement and mentorship.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Prior teaching experience with elementary, primary, middle school, or high school students.
• Strong command of English, both spoken and written.
• Ability to confidently teach multiple elective subjects.
• Familiarity with modern educational technologies and virtual teaching platforms.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
