DevOps Engineer (Freelance, Remote)

About the role

OTRAVERSE is a technology startup building an AI-powered interactive media platform connecting brands and consumers through immersive digital experiences. It is looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer on a freelance basis, working remotely, to improve the performance, reliability, security and scalability of its cloud infrastructure. An immediate start is preferred.

Key responsibilities

• Audit and optimize the existing cloud infrastructure.
• Configure and maintain CDN solutions, caching strategies and content delivery.
• Optimize server response times, bandwidth usage and infrastructure costs.
• Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage cloud deployments, storage and application hosting.
• Set up monitoring, centralized logging and automated alerts.
• Improve infrastructure security, access management and backup procedures.
• Troubleshoot production issues and identify performance bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with backend and engineering teams to improve deployment reliability.
• Document infrastructure architecture and operational procedures.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional DevOps or cloud engineering experience.
• Strong Linux server administration experience.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, DigitalOcean or similar cloud providers.
• Ability to work independently and deliver measurable results.

Required skills

• CDN architecture, HTTP caching, DNS, SSL/TLS and networking.
• Docker and CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions or GitLab CI.
• Nginx or equivalent reverse proxy configuration.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools, logs and performance diagnostics.
• Nice to have: Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), Kubernetes, Cloudflare or AWS CloudFront, PostgreSQL and Redis, cloud cost optimization.
