Data Engineer – Data & Digital Transformation

About the role

As a Data Engineer within the COO organization, you will report to the Head of Data & Digital Transformation and help build a modern data platform for ODDO BHF Asset Management. Based in Tunis, you will work closely with international teams to enable data‑driven decision‑making across the firm.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines using dbt and a Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold).
• Implement and optimise data storage solutions in Snowflake, ensuring performance, security and cost efficiency.
• Integrate data from relational databases, APIs and other sources while adhering to ingestion best practices.
• Collaborate with upstream teams on data ingestion standards, access provisioning and governance.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment using Azure DevOps or similar tools.
• Document data models, pipeline logic and architectural decisions for technical and non‑technical audiences.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a comparable role.
• Strong SQL proficiency and hands‑on experience with Snowflake or another major cloud data warehouse.
• Practical experience with dbt (Core or Cloud), including model development, testing and documentation.
• Familiarity with CI/CD principles, Azure DevOps (or similar) and Git version control.
