Country CFO/Controller Tunisia – Vice President

About the role

Citi is seeking a senior finance leader to serve as the Country CFO and Controller for Tunisia. Reporting to the Country Officer, you will be the primary steward of the franchise’s financial integrity, regulatory compliance and strategic financial management.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure absolute integrity, accuracy and control of financial books in line with Tunisian Accounting Standards (SCE), US GAAP and IFRS.
• Strengthen the independent control environment, identifying and mitigating financial, operational and regulatory risks.
• Oversee the external statutory audit process and maintain transparent relationships with auditors.
• Lead preparation, validation and timely submission of all regulatory reports to the Central Bank of Tunisia and other authorities.
• Monitor regulatory changes and implement necessary adjustments to balance‑sheet, liquidity and capital adequacy.
• Manage corporate tax compliance, VAT, withholding taxes and transfer pricing, and liaise with tax authorities.
• Partner with the Country Officer and business heads to provide financial insights, balance‑sheet analysis and performance metrics.
• Manage local liquidity, capital planning and foreign‑exchange exposure in accordance with BCT controls.

Required profile

• Proven senior finance leadership experience within a banking or financial services institution.
• Deep knowledge of Tunisian accounting standards, US GAAP and IFRS.
• Strong track record in regulatory compliance, audit management and tax administration.
• Ability to build effective relationships with regulators, auditors and internal stakeholders.
• Strategic mindset with experience advising senior executives on financial performance and risk.
