Cloud & Platform Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Cloud & Platform Engineer to own and optimise our Azure‑based SaaS infrastructure. You will be responsible for making the platform leaner, faster, and more reliable while driving cost efficiency as the business scales.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end Azure estate and associated services.
• Build visibility into cloud spend, attribute costs, and implement savings initiatives.
• Automate repetitive tasks to ensure smooth, predictable platform operations.
• Enhance reliability, deployment pipelines, and security controls.
• Make and execute infrastructure decisions that support business growth.
• Expand your remit to cover broader technical operations as needs evolve.

Required profile

• Strong ownership mindset with the ability to work independently.
• Comfortable operating in a fast‑changing environment with evolving scope.
• Proactive initiative‑taker who delivers without constant supervision.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or Bicep.
• Ability to read and analyse cloud billing data.
• Automation skills to eliminate manual processes.
• Familiarity with container orchestration, CI/CD pipelines, and security best practices (nice to have).
