Client Onboarding Officer

About the role

The Client Onboarding Officer will join Bank ABC Tunisia’s Client Onboarding unit, ensuring that new individual customer accounts are opened accurately, promptly, and in full compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and manage account opening requests via the ABC Clic Portal Administration platform.
• Process daily individual account openings while maintaining operational controls.
• Validate customer data quality before and after migration to the Ambit system.
• Ensure onboarding complies with Central Bank of Tunisia (CBT) regulations and internal policies, including KYC review through SIRON.
• Review and validate customer due‑diligence records for regulatory compliance.
• Oversee electronic archiving of all digital account‑opening documentation.
• Identify and escalate exceptions, discrepancies, and compliance issues.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and customer experience.
• Maintain accurate records and performance indicators for onboarding activities.
• Verify completeness of documentation for branch‑opened accounts and ensure adherence to CBT guidelines.
• Process account‑opening files within agreed‑upon turnaround times.
• Handle customer requests such as signature changes, data updates, and account suppressions.
• Monitor discrepancies, missing files, and internal account issues.
• Ensure scanning of customer signatures for newly opened accounts.
• Manage hand‑off for archiving client files and activate dormant accounts following due‑diligence.
• Perform regular KYC reviews.

Required profile

• University degree.
• Strong ability to work under pressure and in a team.
• In‑depth knowledge of Tunisian law and CBT regulations.
• Professional behaviour, rigor, integrity and good communication.
• Commitment to procedures, local regulations and audit recommendations.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Central Bank of Tunisia regulatory framework.
• Familiarity with KYC processes and SIRON system.
• Experience with digital onboarding platforms (ABC Clic Portal, Ambit).
