Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Officer – AML Risk Management

About the role

The AML Risk Management Intermediate Analyst is an intermediate‑level position responsible for recommending and establishing internal procedures to prevent money laundering and support all matters related to financial crimes in coordination with the broader Anti‑Money Laundering (AML) team. The role leverages disciplinary knowledge to spot data inconsistencies and formulate strategic policy and procedural recommendations.

Key responsibilities

• Receive suspicious transaction reports, conduct operational and strategic financial analysis, and request additional information from reporting entities.
• Disseminate intelligence to judicial and law‑enforcement authorities when reasonable grounds exist to suspect money laundering, terrorist financing, or related offences.
• Identify, vet, and address potential risks or escalated issues with functional partners and key stakeholders.
• Communicate findings of the AML control program to internal entities and incorporate regulatory changes to pinpoint new risk areas.
• Analyze comparative data, prepare and present AML risk assessment reports, and monitor related issues and escalations.
• Create and develop AML Compliance Risk Management (ACRM) standards and policies, synthesize risk information, and advise on action plans.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of relevant AML or compliance experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of anti‑money laundering regulations (preferred).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills with a focus on Microsoft Office applications.
