Accounts Payable Agent (Supplier Invoicing)

About the role

TUI Global Business Services (TGBS) is looking for an Accounts Payable agent to join its Global Finance Business Services team, which is centralising finance processes. You will manage a dedicated portfolio of suppliers, deliver good service to them, support financial controls and provide accurate financial information to the business.

Key responsibilities

• Process supplier incoming invoices and credit notes: for PO-related invoices, check details, match with purchase orders and follow up mismatches; for overhead invoices, check details and assign accounting dimensions (GL account, cost/profit centre, period).
• Ensure invoices are authorised and processed in a timely manner, and prepare payment proposals and make payments accurately and on time.
• Check that correct payment terms are applied, maintain and archive records to meet audit and statutory requirements.
• Answer supplier queries, review discrepancies, resolve invoice issues, analyse account status and validate prepayment and deposit requests.
• Escalate unresolved queries to the manager professionally and promptly.
• Work with Business Partners to improve supplier invoicing and support the Accounts Payable cycle in line with company policy.
• Maintain good relationships with suppliers and stakeholders, propose improvements and carry out other ad hoc tasks.

Required profile

• University degree (advantageous).
• Excellent written and spoken English is mandatory.
• Previous experience in an AP department, administration, supplier or customer management.
• Proven numeric skills and accounting acumen, with a methodical, organised approach.

Required skills

• MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
• SAP and Asterix/Atlas ERP experience is advantageous
• Communication and influencing skills
