YouTube Strategist – Remote Full‑Time/Contract

About the role

We are looking for a data‑driven YouTube Strategist to own and scale our channel presence. Working remotely, you will design and execute end‑to‑end content strategies that boost audience retention, click‑through rates and overall monetisation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop long‑term channel strategies aligned with business goals, optimising for YouTube search and suggested video algorithms.
• Conduct audience research and competitor analysis to uncover trending topics and high‑value content opportunities.
• Guide writers, videographers and editors, ensuring titles, descriptions, tags and thumbnails are optimised for maximum CTR.
• Monitor key metrics (watch time, retention, subscriber growth) in YouTube Studio and translate insights into actionable improvements.
• Maintain an editorial calendar and streamline production workflows for consistent, high‑quality output.
• Collaborate with social media, paid‑ads and product marketing teams to integrate video assets across campaigns.
• Identify and pursue monetisation options such as brand sponsorships and merchandise integrations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven track record of growing YouTube channels, supported by a portfolio or case studies.
• Deep, up‑to‑date knowledge of the YouTube algorithm, SEO best practices and community guidelines.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret YouTube Analytics data and shape content strategy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for briefing creative teams.
