SRE and Maintenance Manager

About the role

The Site Reliability Engineer and Maintenance Manager will ensure high availability, reliability and safe operation of plant equipment at an AkzoNobel site. The role combines hands‑on maintenance leadership with reliability engineering to meet HSE standards and drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and coach the maintenance team, planning daily work and allocating resources.
• Oversee execution and quality of corrective and preventive maintenance, including contractor work.
• Drive the maintenance planning programme and ensure adherence to schedules.
• Conduct incident investigations, root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate records in the CMMS (GMAO) and track performance KPIs.
• Identify capital investment needs and support site investment plans.
• Participate in plant projects, risk assessments and commissioning activities.
• Manage the Management of Change (MOC) process and perform equipment audits.
• Coordinate operational procedures, risk plans and site improvement initiatives.
• Act as Site Security Officer where applicable and support Permit‑to‑Work processes.

Required profile

• Engineering degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Mechanical, Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Proven experience in maintenance leadership within an industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of HSE requirements and plant safety standards.
