Software Engineer – FPGA Prototyping

About the role

Join Siemens EDA's Hardware‑Assisted Verification Division as a Software Engineer focused on FPGA‑based prototyping. You will contribute to the Veloce proFPGA platform, developing and debugging low‑level software that validates and integrates hardware components.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers in designing, developing, and modifying software for internal and external products.
• Develop low‑level validation software for FPGA components and ensure functional quality across platforms.
• Integrate system components in close coordination with the software team.
• Perform debugging of RTL designs and simulations, and conduct static timing analysis.
• Maintain code repositories using version‑control systems such as Git, Perforce, or SVN.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Basic to moderate proficiency in software development and a willingness to learn under supervision.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Fluent English communication skills.
