Senior General Ledger Accountant

About the role

Free2move’s Shared Services Center in Tunisia is seeking a Senior General Ledger Accountant to own the accounting for one or more legal entities. Reporting to the Group Head of Accounting, you will ensure the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of the Group’s financial statements in a fast‑moving, international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes for assigned entities, meeting Group deadlines.
• Review and post complex journal entries, including provisions, accruals, prepaid expenses, deferred income, payroll, tax provisions, depreciation and other adjustments.
• Coordinate with FP&A, tax, and audit teams to ensure accurate reporting and statutory compliance.
• Support external auditors during audit cycles and prepare required documentation.
• Act as a technical reference for junior accountants, resolving complex accounting issues and promoting best practices.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of finance processes and controls.

Required profile

• Several years of experience in general ledger accounting within an international or multi‑entity context.
• Strong knowledge of local accounting and tax regulations in Tunisia.
• Proven ability to manage high‑volume accounting activities and tight closing schedules.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating across functions.
