Senior DevOps Engineer – Monitoring & Observability

About the role

CBTW is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer focused on monitoring and observability. The role sits in the Monitoring team and will drive the onboarding of applications into Datadog, build dashboards and alerts, and support operational excellence through ServiceNow.

Key responsibilities

• Manage ServiceNow tickets related to monitoring, incidents and support tasks.
• Onboard new applications to Datadog, including logs, metrics, traces and synthetic monitoring.
• Design, create and maintain dashboards, monitors, alerting rules and other observability assets.
• Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Develop Python scripts to automate monitoring and operational tasks.
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to ensure adequate monitoring coverage and best practices.
• Support incident investigations and contribute to root‑cause analysis.
• Maintain monitoring documentation and operational procedures.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in SRE or monitoring‑focused roles.
• Strong background with an enterprise monitoring platform, preferably Datadog.
• Proficiency in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices.
• Intermediate Python scripting abilities.
• Experience with GitHub version‑control workflows.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow ticketing and incident management.
• Good knowledge of Linux systems and basic Windows administration.
• Understanding of cloud, on‑premises infrastructure and Kubernetes environments.
