Senior Consultant – Government & Public Sector

About the role

EY is expanding its Government & Public Sector (GPS) practice and seeks a highly motivated Senior Consultant to help build teams and capture market opportunities. You will work with senior decision‑makers across ministries, local authorities and public institutions, driving transformation projects that improve core public services.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new client engagements while nurturing existing relationships.
• Lead business development pursuits and contribute to the creation of new solution offerings.
• Provide high‑quality deliverables and subject‑matter expertise to client projects.
• Manage and mentor consulting teams, fostering an innovative and inclusive work environment.
• Analyze, evaluate and enhance client organisations to achieve sustainable performance.

Required profile

• Higher education degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, Marketing or related field; MBA or Master in Public Administration is a plus.
• 4‑6 years of experience in the public sector, including 1‑2 years in a leadership role.
• Deep knowledge of government agencies, municipalities and public institutions.
• Proven track record of delivering impact on large‑scale sector transformation initiatives.
• Strong business acumen, commercial mindset and ability to build long‑term client relationships.
