Senior Chief Engineer

About the role

Four Seasons is seeking a Senior Chief Engineer to lead the engineering and maintenance operations of its beachfront resort in Tunisia. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will ensure all building systems operate safely, efficiently, and to the brand’s luxury standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Engineering in overseeing all hotel and building maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, steam, gas, fire & safety, HVAC refrigeration, interior painting and decorating.
• Supervise, train, schedule, and evaluate maintenance staff; conduct daily spot checks and enforce work order procedures.
• Prepare purchase requisitions and work orders, coordinating closely with the Director of Purchasing.
• Implement and monitor preventive maintenance programs, maintain stock and tool logs, and ensure daily meter readings for heat and electricity.
• Support the Safety Committee, energy‑conservation initiatives, and 24‑hour emergency contractor services.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in hotel or large‑scale facility engineering, preferably in a senior supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and Four Seasons’ work rules.
• Proven ability to lead a diverse maintenance team and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
