Operations Director – Automotive Seating & Trim

About the role

As Operations Director you will lead the performance and development of a seating & trim manufacturing plant in Tunisia, reporting to the Plant Manager and Operations VP. The role focuses on delivering safety, quality, cost and delivery targets while building a strong leadership team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strong leadership to the Cut & Sew operations team in close partnership with the Plant Manager and Operations VP.
• Build a mature leadership team by coaching managers and supervisors and supporting key hiring decisions.
• Define and drive robust, sustainable improvement initiatives across the plant (productivity, efficiency, quality, cost).
• Provide day‑to‑day direction on launch management to ensure new programs are delivered on time and to standard.
• Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks with a hands‑on, results‑driven approach.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability and teamwork at every level.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Senior Plant Manager or Operations Director with strong leadership skills.
• Solid background in automotive seating & trim (cut‑and‑sew) operations.
• Track record of leading large, labor‑intensive manufacturing teams and delivering measurable improvements.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methods.
• Experience managing product launches in an automotive environment.
• Fluent in English and French.
