Migration Data Analyst Consultant (MMP)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Tunisia seeks a qualified consultant to provide technical expertise in migration data analysis, research support, and reporting. The consultant will work under the supervision of the IOM Chief of Mission and the Programme Officer (Data and Research) within the Governance & Data Unit, contributing to the Climate Change and Migration Data Program.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct qualitative data collection, including at least four focus group discussions and 24 key informant interviews with migrants and consular authorities, preparing questionnaires and interview guides.
• Draft a comprehensive report that incorporates data visualisation tools, analyses findings from field data, and formulates evidence‑based recommendations for the regional Missing Migrants Project.
• Organise and lead a workshop with consular authorities to present preliminary findings, gather feedback, and integrate insights into the final report.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in social sciences, anthropology, migration studies, political science, international relations, law, or a related field.
• Minimum six years of proven experience conducting qualitative research with migrants and vulnerable populations, preferably in fragile or cross‑border contexts.
• Excellent written and spoken French and English; knowledge of Arabic is advantageous.
