Java Software Engineer (Mid‑Level, Hybrid, Relocation to Portugal)

About the role

KCS IT is looking for a motivated Java Software Engineer to join its consulting team. The position is mid‑level, hybrid and includes relocation to Portugal. You will work on diverse client projects, delivering high‑quality Java solutions while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java 8+ applications using micro‑services architecture.
• Integrate front‑end components, preferably built with Angular.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and ensure automated unit and functional testing.
• Work with relational databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.
• Deploy and manage applications on cloud platforms (Azure or AWS).
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong experience in Java development (Java 8+).
• Knowledge of front‑end frameworks, ideally Angular.
• Experience with micro‑services, CI/CD, and cloud environments.
• Fluent in English and French.
• Excellent problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
