Injection Molding Machine Maintenance Technician

About the role

Gruner Tunisia is looking for a Plastic Injection Molding Maintenance Technician with at least 2 years of experience maintaining plastic injection molding machines. The role covers preventive and corrective maintenance of the machines and their auxiliary equipment, troubleshooting and documentation, working in collaboration with production, process and quality teams.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on injection molding machines and their auxiliary equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and automation faults.
• Maintain injection, plasticizing and clamping units, as well as heating and cooling systems.
• Service auxiliary equipment such as drying ovens, dehumidifying dryers, mold temperature controllers, chillers, material loaders and part removal robots.
• Check safety devices and ensure equipment is safe to restart after maintenance.
• Analyze recurring breakdowns and propose improvements to reduce machine downtime.
• Document maintenance activities and support spare parts tracking.
• Collaborate with Production, Process and Quality teams to identify equipment issues affecting molded part quality.

Required profile

• Technical qualification in industrial maintenance, electromechanics, automation or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience maintaining injection molding machines and their auxiliary equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams.
• Knowledge of automation and control system diagnostics.
• Attention to detail, responsiveness, ability to work independently and a strong team spirit.
• Commitment to safety instructions and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Availability to work shifts.
