Head of VPS Infrastructure

About the role

UltaHost is looking for a senior leader to own and evolve its global Virtual Private Server (VPS) platform. The Head of VPS Infrastructure will combine deep technical expertise with strategic vision to drive reliability, performance, and growth across all data‑center locations.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end design, deployment, and optimisation of VPS infrastructure worldwide.
• Lead architecture decisions for virtualization, storage, networking, security and scalability.
• Manage and optimise KVM, Proxmox, OpenStack, VMware and Hyper‑V environments.
• Oversee provisioning systems, automation workflows and platform lifecycle management.
• Define standards, operational procedures and best practices for the VPS ecosystem.
• Drive automation initiatives to improve scalability, reliability and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with Systems Administration, DevOps, Network Engineering and Support teams.
• Plan capacity, monitor performance, and lead incident response and root‑cause analysis.
• Participate in hardware selection, datacenter expansion and infrastructure investment decisions.

Required profile

• Extensive experience operating production hosting environments at scale.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage complex, global infrastructure projects.
• Strong problem‑solving skills for virtualization, networking and storage challenges.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across cross‑functional teams.
