Group Industrial Excellence Director

About the role

The Group Industrial Excellence Director will lead the technical strategy for machining Inconel and other hard superalloys across an international manufacturing group. The role focuses on transforming person‑dependent practices into documented, repeatable standards and building capability to industrialise new parts won by sales.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the highest technical authority on machining hard superalloys, arbitrating strategies, cutting conditions, tooling choices and machine allocation.
• Own continuous improvement of existing production: cycle times, tooling life, cost, scrap and rework, and overhaul routings to replace ad‑hoc practices with repeatable standards.
• Develop product/process matrices linking part families to preferred routings, standard times and costing logic to provide true production cost and margin at quote stage.
• Elevate methods departments from reactive to the driving force of industrialisation across all sites, establishing common methods, routing structures, machining standards and technical KPIs.

Required profile

• Deep, hands‑on mastery of machining Inconel and other hard superalloys, including cutting conditions, tooling, sequences and machine capability.
• Minimum 10 years in methods, industrialisation or industrial excellence within precision machining, with a proven track record of industrialising new parts from drawing to first‑good part.
• Demonstrated ability to build and challenge routing, standard time and cost per part family, and to defend technical decisions with methods engineers or shop‑floor leads.
• Fluent English (mandatory); additional French or Arabic preferred.
