Field Engineer

About the role

As a Field Engineer you will join UL Solutions' global Field Engineering team, travelling across Tunisia to perform risk‑based safety and non‑safety inspections for electrical and electronic manufacturers. You will verify that certified products continue to meet UL requirements, support customers throughout the certification lifecycle, and help maintain the trust associated with the UL Mark.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct safety and non‑safety inspections and audits at customer facilities in line with UL standards and procedures.
• Verify compliance of electrical and electronic products, components, labels, and markings with UL requirements.
• Review production records, quality documentation, traceability programs and previous inspection findings.
• Evaluate test equipment calibration and witness factory testing activities when required.
• Prepare inspection reports, document non‑conformances and recommend corrective actions.
• Schedule and manage inspection activities independently while delivering high‑quality customer service.
• Act as a trusted advisor, answering customer questions and guiding them on UL certification services.
• Collaborate with internal teams such as Engineering, Sales, Customer Service, and Label Center to support product launches and ongoing certification needs.

Required profile

• Higher degree or technical diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Technology, Electronics Technology, or a related discipline.
• Experience in auditing, inspection, compliance, product testing or a related technical field.
• Knowledge of electrical/electronic products, components, manufacturing processes, or quality systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, French and the local language.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and manage a field‑based schedule.
• Customer‑focused mindset with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver’s licence.
