Process Engineer – Manufacturing

About the role

Lear Corporation is seeking a Process Engineer to lead the design, optimization, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes in our automotive plant. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure efficient production flow, high quality tooling, and compliance with engineering standards.

Key responsibilities

• Define, install, and release manufacturing processes while conducting PFMEA analysis.
• Plan and execute production line transfers and new project launches.
• Lead engineering changes with minimal investment, aiming for zero obsolescence.
• Develop and maintain standard work instructions (SWI) and conduct method‑time studies.
• Review and manage Process FMEA using APiS software.
• Control receipt and accuracy of patterns and CAD data; manage machine software and testing programs.
• Ensure cutting dies are produced to customer specifications and coordinate with suppliers on revision levels.
• Update plant layout drawings using AutoCAD and comply with all Lear procedures and policies.

Required profile

• Degree in Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience in the automotive industry.
• Strong communication skills in both French and English.
• Proven experience with PFMEA analysis.

• Proficiency in MS Office suite.
• AutoCAD for plant layout and drawing updates.
