SMT Material Planning & Production Control Supervisor

About the role

The SMT Material Planning & Production Control Supervisor leads the customer service and procurement teams to ensure smooth material flow and production scheduling across the site. This senior position coordinates SIOP and MPS processes, optimises inventory, and drives continuous improvement in supply‑chain performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the customer service and procurement teams, setting KPIs and targets.
• Implement and support Pull flow, Kanban, EDI, and Milk‑run tools with APU, Logistics, Purchasing, and VPS departments.
• Coordinate site‑wide SIOP and MPS processes, chairing monthly SIOP and weekly MPS meetings.
• Identify and resolve internal and external bottlenecks, ensuring realistic and consistent plans.
• Maintain SAP data for SIOP/MPS, monitor delivery performance, and take corrective actions with APU.
• Define inbound and outbound transportation plans together with external flow analysts.
• Analyse customer forecasts, negotiate variations, and track service rates for customers and suppliers.
• Drive inventory reduction initiatives, manage stock levels, and lead logistics/purchasing meetings.

Required profile

• Proven experience in material planning, production control or supply‑chain management.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent analytical abilities to monitor KPIs, forecast demand and resolve bottlenecks.
• Familiarity with industrial environments and continuous‑improvement methodologies.
