CNC Set‑Up & Operator – Class A

About the role

Pursuit Aerospace is seeking an experienced CNC Set‑Up and Operator (Class A) to join its Megrine facility on a three‑shift schedule. The role focuses on operating and optimizing CNC lathes and mills for high‑precision aircraft engine components while driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, program, and operate CNC lathes and milling machines.
• Train fellow operators to improve proficiency and adherence to standards.
• Verify dimensions against specifications before releasing the first piece.
• Edit machining programs and recommend engineering changes.
• Collaborate with engineering on machining enhancements and new technologies.
• Apply lean principles, reduce set‑up time, and improve flow line efficiency.
• Run labor standards, monitor operator performance, and troubleshoot CNC issues.
• Ensure all quality requirements are met using QC equipment and follow safety guidelines.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; CAD school courses a plus.
• Minimum 10 years machining experience, including at least 5 years on CNC equipment.
• Experience with high‑temperature alloys and cutter selection.
• Familiarity with AS9100 procedures and aerospace quality standards.
