Tooling Engineer

About the role

Autoliv is seeking a Tooling Engineer to support the development and maintenance of tooling for safety-critical components such as seatbelts, airbags, and steering wheels. The role involves monitoring timelines, collaborating with design teams, and ensuring tool quality throughout the product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor tooling manufacturing timelines, track milestones, and communicate delays to project and production managers.
• Collaborate with design and R&D teams to develop and review tool specifications, participate in design reviews, and validate tool feasibility.
• Manage purchase orders, ECRs, CAPEX, and spare‑part procurement for new, renewal, and capacity tooling.
• Oversee tool modifications, tuning loops, and ensure all changes are documented and approved.
• Prepare and analyze data for mold‑flow simulations and support product quality validation tests.
• Maintain PLM records, coordinate with internal suppliers, and ensure compliance with PPAP/APQP processes.
