Senior Systems Administrator

About the role

The company is looking for an experienced Senior Systems Administrator to take ownership of mission-critical IT systems, ensuring their security, scalability and reliability while contributing to the company's long-term technological strategy. The role is hands-on and covers IT operations, cloud and network infrastructure, project implementation and help desk support.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and maintenance of servers, networks, storage systems and cloud environments
• Manage users and groups, security permissions, group policies and system monitoring
• Maintain enterprise backup and disaster recovery solutions
• Implement security best practices: firewalls, identity management, endpoint protection and vulnerability assessments
• Monitor datacenter health and optimize virtualization and Microsoft Azure environments
• Lead IT projects such as cloud migration, infrastructure upgrades, security enhancements and automation
• Work with the HelpDesk and IT support teams on escalated issues and provide mentorship to junior staff
• Maintain compliance with regulations and data protection laws, run security audits and enforce IAM policies

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience
• 5+ years in IT infrastructure management, systems administration or network engineering
• Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policies, PowerShell scripting and system automation
• Knowledge of virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud computing (Microsoft Azure)
• Experience with enterprise backup, disaster recovery, firewalls, routers, switches, VLANs and VPNs
• Preferred: Azure Administrator, AWS Solutions Architect, VMware VCP, Cisco CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Security+, Linux administration, Docker/Kubernetes and Terraform/Ansible
