Reservations Manager

About the role

The Reservations Manager is responsible for driving reservations sales, training the reservations team, and delivering exceptional customer service to maximize revenue and build loyalty for the property.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new reservations sales opportunities to meet personal and property revenue targets.
• Understand market conditions, competitor strengths, and economic trends to position the property effectively.
• Respond to incoming sales inquiries, negotiate contracts, and close business deals.
• Coordinate with sales and convention services to process rooming lists, reservation cards, and related documentation.
• Monitor group reservation forecasts, manage wait‑lists, and ensure accurate billing instructions.
• Track no‑show reservations, process charges, and maintain reservation order accuracy.
• Provide training, work assignments, and performance guidance to reservations sales staff.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED (no experience required) OR a 2‑year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel & Restaurant Management, or related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in sales, marketing, guest services, front desk, or a related hospitality role.
