Research Finance Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Research Finance Assistant to support the fiscal administration of MindGame Research Lab, an independent NGO focused on behavioral science. The role is volunteer‑based and will work closely with the Operations Director and Principal Investigator to ensure transparent and accurate financial management.

Key responsibilities

• Track monthly expenditures and reconcile lab accounts.
• Maintain multi‑year operational and project budgets (2027‑2030).
• Assist in building financial frameworks and budget projections for grant proposals.
• Prepare quarterly financial summaries for leadership, board members, and partners.
• Ensure compliance with national tax laws, NGO regulations, and institutional guidelines.
• Coordinate reimbursement workflows, manage vendor logs, and keep audit‑ready records.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or related field (PhD a plus).
• Strong numerical precision, ethical integrity and transparency.
• Enthusiasm for supporting behavioral‑science research operations.

Required skills

• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
