Project Purchaser – Harnessing Solutions

About the role

The Project Purchaser – Harnessing Solutions will be responsible for sourcing materials and components required for cable and harnessing projects. Working closely with product engineering, the role ensures technical alignment, cost‑effective supplier performance and on‑time delivery to support production, engineering and sales.

Key responsibilities

• Provide fast technical clarification and manage RFQs to guarantee timely quotations and material availability.
• Source materials that meet technical standards and collaborate with engineering teams.
• Expand coverage of customer needs by leveraging a suitable supply base and market intelligence.
• Identify opportunities for new products and solutions.
• Optimize material costs and ensure procurement efficiency.

Required profile

• Technical or commercial degree.
• 3–5 years of purchasing or procurement experience, preferably in cables or harnessing.
• Experience in a production/manufacturing environment.
• Fluent English (C1 or higher); German is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of project business, harnessing scales and related processes.

Required skills

• SAP (mandatory).
• RFQ management.
• Technical knowledge of cables, connectors, wiring systems and harnessing solutions.
