Materials Planner – Trim

About the role

The Materials Planner – Trim converts customer requests into supplier orders, ensuring that all material flows meet production schedules. You will monitor stock levels, manage procurement, and coordinate with planning and quality teams to keep the supply chain running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Procure materials from assigned suppliers according to logistics guidelines.
• Prepare weekly supplier releases using EDI and other tools.
• Monitor material receipt dates, report issues, and ensure timely delivery.
• Analyze stock levels, run simulations, and prevent shortages or excesses.
• Collaborate with the factory planning department to implement corrective actions.
• Act as liaison for quality control on rejected material lots.
• Support import transportation, track transit, and optimize costs and lead times.

Required profile

• Engineer degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year experience in material planning or procurement.
• Strong time and project management abilities.
• Analytical mindset with good communication skills.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
• Experience with SAP or a similar ERP system.
• Familiarity with EDI systems for supplier releases.
