Legal Counsel

About the role

The Legal Counsel provides strategic and operational legal support across all company activities, acting as a trusted partner to operational teams and management while safeguarding the interests of the organization and its subsidiaries.

Key responsibilities

• Provide proactive legal advice to departments such as Retail, Commercial, Marketing, Finance, HR, HSE and Communications.
• Draft, review, negotiate and validate commercial contracts including customer agreements, supplier contracts, partnerships, leases and service agreements.
• Support strategic projects like network development, commercial partnerships and marketing initiatives while ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Manage commercial, civil, labor and administrative litigation, coordinate with external counsel and oversee debt recovery procedures.
• Perform company secretarial duties, organise board meetings and general assemblies, prepare agendas and minutes, and ensure compliance with corporate law.
• Oversee real‑estate transactions, acquisitions, leases and asset protection, mitigating associated legal risks.
• Maintain proper records management, ensuring confidentiality and efficient archiving of legal documents.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in law.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in‑house or at a law firm.
• Strong expertise in business, commercial and corporate law and litigation management.

Required skills

• Excellent contract drafting and negotiation.
• Advanced legal analysis and risk‑management capabilities.
