IT SAP Global Trade System Consultant

About the role

You will design and implement SAP‑based business sub‑processes that keep our global supply chain compliant and efficient. Working closely with functional units and software development teams, you will translate business requirements into scalable SAP GTS solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the internal and external point of contact for SAP GTS and customs‑related topics.
• Collaborate in cross‑functional working groups and serve as the interface between business stakeholders and development teams.
• Support the optimisation of internal standards and processes within your area of expertise.
• Identify trends in customs and trade compliance, develop concepts and propose actionable recommendations.
• Lead conceptual work for several business sub‑process elements and create documentation, training materials, and internal publications.
• Conduct training sessions for key users locally and internationally and address ongoing training needs.
• Advise on requirements specifications, create functional specifications and ensure end‑to‑end supervision of process steps.
• Perform black‑box testing for SAP GTS sub‑process elements and support global rollouts in collaboration with internal customers and development teams.

Required profile

• University degree in finance, customs, IT or a related field with several years of experience in finance, customs and/or IT.
• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience with SAP GTS / GTS4HANA.
• Experience with related SAP S/4HANA modules (eEWM, MM, SD, TM) is a plus.
• Knowledge of SAP GTS domain controlling, requirements management, blueprints, training and rollouts.
• Customising experience in SAP GTS Logistics, master‑data management and configuration expertise.
• Excellent command of English.
