Financial Planning Manager

About the role

The Financial Planning Manager leads the finance team's planning, reporting and profitability work, supporting the Board of Directors with accurate financial information and translating performance into clear business insights. The role also covers cash flow, invoicing and process improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and review the monthly full P&L and operational KPIs across multiple business entities, and support accurate financial reports for the Board.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and monthly forecasting, perform variance and gap analysis, and partner with stakeholders so financial plans match operational objectives.
• Analyze profitability by business line and project, identify margin drivers, risks and opportunities, and support strategic decisions.
• Monitor cash flow, oversee invoicing and timely billing, and monitor project provisions with appropriate financial controls.
• Improve financial processes: faster closing cycles, data accuracy, materiality thresholds and deadlines, and promote accountability.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related field.
• 4+ years in Controlling, FP&A, Corporate Finance or External Audit, including significant experience structuring and improving financial processes.
• Experience in engineering, consulting, IT services or a similar project-based environment is a strong plus.
• Proven experience managing and developing teams.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of financial modeling, accounting principles, management reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint; BI and ERP tools are highly desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
